Snow-capped mountains, crisp air, twinkling village lights and log fires in traditional inns.  Come and sample the festive atmosphere in the heartland of celtic Wales.  Forget the department stores and browse in local shops for those gifts with a difference.  Our magnificent castles are still open to visitors, so you can also enjoy the rich heritage in this land.

Stay in a 4* hotel on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis.

4 day Christmas Season Tour

Day 1

Collect at Bangor Railway Station at 1400 hrs. Travel to the Royal Walled Town of Caernarfon and visit Wales’ most famous castle.  

Escorted tour of the Island visiting Llanfair PG – the longest railway station name in the World, Beaumaris, the old Viking capital of the Island, and Penmon and Black Point, with its ruined Augustinian Priory and 6th century church, breathtaking views of Puffin Island and the holy well of St Seriol.

Day 2

Travel through the Snowdonia Mountain Range to Llanberis. Visit the National Slate Museum of Wales including a demonstration of the timeless skill of splitting the slate. View Castell Dolbadarn – built by Prince Llewellyn about 1220.

Travel through The Snowdonia Mountain range and then the Gwydr Forest to the mountain resort of Betws-y-Coed, visiting the beautiful Swallow Falls en-route. Time to enjoy this lovely village and browse the shops.

Day 3

Travel to the beautiful Snowdonia Village of Beddgelert. Follow the River Glaslyn to the Coast and visit Portmeirion – Italianate Village built by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis from 1925 –1978.

 Escorted tour of the Village and Gardens. Travel back via Criccieth with its magnificent castle on the cliff built by Prince Llewellyn in 1220, with magnificent 360 degree views of Snowdonia.

Day 4

Collect from Guesthouse. Travel along the North Wales coastline to Conwy. Explore this charming medieval walled town and then onto Llandudno – Victorian "Queen of the Welsh Resorts". Travel to the summit of the Great Orme and across to the West Shore with the most spectacular views.
